Why Attend Our Events?
Our events are designed to provide medical students and the wider community with a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of cardiology careers. We are committed to increasing access and interest in the field, particularly among underrepresented groups. Furthermore, we actively raise money for vital charities such as CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) and the BHF (British Heart Foundation).
About the Oxford Cardiology Society
The Oxford Cardiology Society, run by medical students at the University of Oxford, organises a variety of events including conferences, teaching sessions, career talks, journal clubs, charity fundraisers, and community outreach initiatives. We also facilitate a mentorship scheme connecting medical students with cardiologists for research opportunities and career insights. Our special conferences focus on widening participation, addressing disparities in care for women in cardiology and the underrepresentation of female doctors in the specialty.
